The Real, Educated Truth Behind Fat Camps and Why They Do Work

The Real, Educated Truth Behind Fat Camps and Why They Do Work

Question: Do Fat Camps Work?

Answer: Absolutely and Positively, Yes!

Fat Camps, Fat Farms, Weight Loss Camps or Weight Loss Resort & Spas have been around in the United States for nearly 150 years and have existed in one form or another since the times of the Roman Empire. Why have they been around so long? Because they work.

How do they work?

Fat Camps and Weight Loss Camps work, because they do what they are designed to do, which is to jump start your Weight Loss, Reduce Fat, Balance Nutrition, Indoctrinate Discipline, Stabilize Insulin, Strengthen Muscle, Improve Flexibility and Reduce Inflammation. They are where you go to get yourself started down a path of Better Heath, Better Fitness and a Better You!

To say that Fat Camps do not work because of calorie restriction/deprivation or that it slows your metabolism which leads your body to think it is starving and other ridiculous hypotheses, is just to demonstrate a total ignorance of how fat camps do work.

If depriving your body of calories, exercising, balancing your nutrition, and stabilizing your insulin levels does not work for you to lose weight and improve your health – then literally, nothing works. It is a red herring to make that statement, because at that point – you can just forget diet, exercise, coaching, or anything else that has been proven to reduce weight for thousands of years.

In fact, according to research from both Duke Medical University and the National Institute of Health, Weight Loss & Fat Camp programs are known to reduce body fat, morbid obesity, reduce cholesterol, minimize, reduce or reverse Type 2 diabetes in some patients, improve cardiovascular and pulmonary health, reduce inflammation which dramatically improves and relieves conditions such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, improve digestive system, reduce lean muscle mass loss, loss of flexibility and movement and many other health conditions.

Having been in the fitness & weight loss industry for over 30 years, I can tell you unequivocally that taking people out of their day-to-day situation and habits, and giving them a training, nutrition and disciplinary regiment along with sufficient accommodations absolutely works.

Fat Camps and Weight Loss Camps positively do work as long as expectations are managed honestly and upfront; however, the key to this is what you do with it when you go home. Therefore the question is not whether a weight loss camp will work – but rather, will you do the work it takes to find your success?

That question is for you and you alone to answer.
