"And so in the strife of the battle of life
It's easy to fight when you're winning;

It's easy to slave, and starve and be brave,
When the dawn of success is beginning.

But the man who can meet despair and defeat
With a cheer, there's a man of God's choosing;

The man who can fight to Heaven's own height
Is the man who can fight when he's losing."

On the surface this may seem kind of bleak, but if you think about it, it can be pretty motivational.

Let's not forget about yesterday's blog post, where I talked about your perception of success/failure can hinge on the most recent event.  But just because it may feel like you're losing, that doesn't necessarily make it true.  Often times you just need to hang in there until that one pivotal thing goes your way.  Like the underdog who happens to land that one punch that turns the tide of the fight.

So hang in there ... something's bound to go your way.  And when it does, you'll be ready to pounce!
